Construction and public works

Our practice has thirty-five years' experience of infrastructure and international construction matters, and provides a specific expertise in the field of public works contracts, notably within the context of national planning and development policies.

Our practice has advised contractors and governmental employers on several projects of national scale, ranging from the construction of water conveyance facilities to electrical networks, roads, oil terminals, hospitals, schools, as well as plants and industrial facilities, in Africa and in several countries of the Arab world.

Our expertise covers all the contractual and pre-contractual aspects of construction projects, including negotiations, tenders, project finance, and corporate structures. In this respect, we assist construction operators in the constitution of simple or complex vehicles, such as joint ventures, consortia or public-private partnerships.

Our interventions also cover the execution of contracts, in particular through the activation of adaptation clauses, or the submission of controversies to Dispute boards, mostly by reference to the FIDIC conditions or to the ICC procedural rules.

Our practice finally acts in proceedings before State courts and arbitration tribunals, as well as in emergency proceedings, for the purpose of interim or conservatory relief.
